When should I use protein?
Ideally if you're not getting enough from food its best to take first thing in the morning, between meals and generally within an hour after exercise.
Is it safe to take?
Yes, legislation around protein powders make it to so it is sold as a supplement, but it's milk with just the protein 'isolated' from it, with some stevia leaf extract to sweeten it (and cocoa for the chocolate flavour). You do not need a lot of it. 1/2 scoop goes a long way if you already eat healthy. People with major kidney disorders should be careful as all concentrated protein will be harder on them.
